UPDATE: Turns out the teaser was just for a Stella Artois commercial.

Are we getting "The Big Lebowski" Part 2?

Fans of the 1998 Coen brothers film are speculating as much after actor Jeff Bridges tweeted a teaser video Thursday. There were no immediate details about what the video is actually teasing, other than a date of Feb. 3, 2019, which is the day of Super Bowl 53.

It seems safe to assume whatever Bridges is promoting will make an appearance during the big game, but the question is what it will be. Is it just going to be a commercial featuring Bridges in character as The Dude, or will it be for a trailer of a potential sequel to the iconic film?

We saw something similar last year when a marketing company put out a "Crocodile Dundee" trailer featuring Chris Hemsworth and Danny McBride, only for it to end up being an ad for a tourism company.

But there's also a bit of hope for fans expecting another Lebowski movie. There was a rumored film titled "Going Places," which was going to a spin-off of a character from the film, Jesus Quintana (played by actor John Turturro).

RE: Best Super Bowl commercials from 2018

The Coen brothers were not involved in the film, but gave Turturro permission to continue the charachter. Turturro was set to direct and write the film. It's also worth noting the Coens publicly stated they would never make a sequel to the "The Big Lebowski."

“In this case, I don’t think we’ll oblige," Joel Cohen told Variety in 2016.

It seems like we'll have to wait until Super Bowl Sunday to find out what, exactly, Bridges is teasing, but our best guess is that it will just be another commercial for some product featuring The Dude.
