Greg Maddux could coach son at UNLV as pitching coach

Baseball Greg Maddux will serve as a volunteer assistant coach at UNLV beginning this fall, the school announced on Wednesday.Maddux's son, Chase, will be a sophomore on the Rebels' pitching staff next season. ate impact once we begin our fall season.” Maddux, who went to high school in Las Vegas, also serves as a special advisor to the Dodgers. His brother Mike is one of the game's best pitching coaches and is currently on Dusty Baker's staff with the Nationals. Chase Maddux is a 6-2, 140-pound right-hander who pitched 7 1/3 innings as a freshman.
