Already on DL, Padres OF Wil Myers needs surgery on injured wrist

Baseball Padres outfielder/first baseman Wil Myers went on the 15-day disabled list on Monday, but he will be sidelined much longer than 15 days.  Wil Myers will undergo surgery Thursday to remove the bone spur in his left wrist. dayMyers, traded from the Rays to the Padres in December, had been off the DL for just three days before landing back on the list. Padres bench coach Dave Roberts told the San Diego Union-Tribune that Myers "felt pain attempting to take swings before Sunday's loss to the Dodgers."
